Implementing Regulations Of Scholarship For Overseas Students In Minnan Normal University

Chapter 1 General provisions

Article 1 In order to encourage the overseas students study hard and assiduously and cultivate a batch of excellent high-level students talents and attract more outstanding overseas students to apply for our university. At the same time, in order stimulate knowledge innovation spirit of overseas students, develop their features in all areas and promote communication of culture at home and abroad, we set up distinguished overseas students scholarship. Aiming at doing the scholarship selection job well, we establish the trial measures.

Article 2 The accreditation work of scholarship would observe the principles of openness, fairness and justice.

Chapter 2 The Objects and Contents of Scholarship

Article 3 The Scholarship for Overseas Students of Minnan Normal University aims to award the self-financed overseas students who study hard and get good results. They would be awarded 5000 yuan per person.

Article 4 The number of scholarship winner would be set according to the situation of the year.

Chapter 3 The Application Conditions and Methods for Scholarship

Article 5 The conditions for the application of Scholarship for Overseas Students in Minnan Normal University

(1) The applicants should be the self-financed overseas students who are enrolled by university thought normal procedures;

(2) The applicants should observe the laws of China and the disciplines of our university;

(3) The applicants should keep good attitude, study hard and get outstanding results in the last school year;

(4) The applicants should take part in the social practice and public benefit activities held by universities and colleges;

(5) The applicants should win no other kinds of scholar.

Article 6 The students who violate the laws of China and the disciplines of our university could not take part in the election of Scholarship for Overseas Students of Minnan Normal University.

Article 7 The approaches of application for scholarship

Applicants can hand in the following materials of application for scholarship in Sep 15^th to Sep 30^th.

1) Fill the Application Form for Overseas Students Scholarship.

2) Hand in the performance sheet last school year.

3) If applying for Single Remarkable Award, a certificate for excellent performance is needed in any part of Academic, PE, Arts, Cultural Exchange and Community Activity in the past school year.

Chapter 4 Accreditation and Confirmation

Article 8 Our university will found Overseas Student Scholarship Committee which consists of relative leaders as chairman, professors in each arts and science as members and college dean of overseas as the secretary-general.

Article 9 The materials will be checked first by college of overseas, then send the qualified ones to Overseas Student Scholarship Committee within allotted time.

Article 10 Overseas Student Scholarship Committee will examine the application materials or require applicants to reply questions in it if necessary and at last confirm the scholarship students list.

Article 11 The result will be public announced in the net of college of overseas in the end of October for one week. If passed, scholarship notification letter will be handed to the applicants in a week.

Article 12 The end explanation right of this provision is assigned to Minnan Normal University Overseas Student Scholarship Committee.

Explanation to Scholarship for Overseas Students In Minnan Normal University

1. Abstract

In order to encourage and support the overseas students (degree education), the Scholarship for Overseas Students of Minnan Normal University would be set up. This scholar would be authorized to the overseas students who could observe laws, keep attendance, study hard and get good results, except the seniors, the students who get Chinese Government Scholarship or Fujian Government Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded once a year. We would choose several students from all applicants and award them tuition waiver.

2. Conditions for Application

1) The applicants should be non-Chinese citizens and in good health;

2) The applicants should observe the laws of China and the disciplines of our university;

3) The applicants should keep good attitude, study hard and get outstanding results in the last school year;

4) The applicants should take part in the social practice and public benefit activities held by universities and colleges.

3. Request of Application

The applicants must have been studied in our university for at least one year. The students who want to apply the scholarship should fill the Application Form of Scholarship for Overseas Students of Minnan Normal University and submit it with other files to the Overseas College before the deadline of application.

4. Time for Application

Sept. 15^th to Sept. 30^th in every year

5. Election Procedure and Result Announcement

1) Our university would organize experts to choose the good ones from all applicants and submit their results for approval;

2) Our university would publish the name list of scholarship before the end of June in every year. Please pay attention to the notice on the website of Overseas College at that time.
