On Nov. 17, professor Zhu Wangzhao with his delegation, two people from Sino-European modern agricultural technology research and development center, Netherlands paid a visit our university for discussion and exchange accompanied by Lin Xiuzhen, director of Zhangzhou overseas Chinese affairs office, and Lin Wenlin, chairman of Macau Zhangzhou Citizens Association(MZCA). Lin Xiaofeng, Chairman of the Communist Party of our university met with the guests accompanied by Luo Ying, dean of overseas education college, Wang Jianhong, vice dean of historical and social development college, and Pan Xutian, director of fungal research center and other related personnel.
The both sides held talk and cooperation in the meeting room, on the fifth floor of Run Run Shaw library, conducting the extensive changes and discussions on the cooperation of scientific research, academic exchanges, personnel training, inter-university cooperation, visiting scholar exchanges and students exchanges in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, food processing among our university, Sino-European technology and development center Netherlands and the universities in Netherlands.
After the meeting, Secretary Lin accompanied guests on visiting the exhibition of Minnan cultural characteristics. Professor Zhu suggested that we strength the research and publicity of Zhangzhou, as the staring point of “marine silk road”, from the research perspective of culture and history in Minnan area and the national development strategy of One Belt And One Road.
Dr.Zhu Wangzhao, was born on October, 1963, the Dutch nationality, Xianyou, Fujian by origin. He got a Bachelor’s Degree from chemistry department in Fuzhou University in 1983. After 1990s, he went to Holland and got a master’s degree in Netherlands international institute of environmental engineering and Dotoral’s degree in Netherlands Delft University of technology and the continuing postdoctoral research. He once worked in the national water research center and state council leading group office of water during at home. During sixteen year in Holland, he was once a researcher of TNO (Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research), the secretary of the association of Chinese students and scholars in the Netherlands, the chief editor of Tulip electronic publication, the laboratory director of API analytical chemistry in the Netherlands Delft university of technology, and the secretary of the second international conference on environment. He is now the director of Sino-European technology and development center, Netherlands and the science
advisor of fujian provincial government.
